I'm so glad I did my ayahuasca work ten years ago before the public is going to ruin it through too much exposure. As soon as the masses jump on to something, they bring their own level of consciousness to it and it destroys a very fragile thing. People are now flocking to do psychedelic tourism in the Amazon and being an ayahuascaro is quite a burgeoning field. If you saw "The Secret" you know what I mena about something just being completely destroyed and misunderstood by the application of materialistc and selfish motivation. Ayahuasca is a sacred medicine and tradition of an isolated ecosystem and this sort of media exposure, though inevitable, is very unfortunate, especially for the people there, who, may benefit from economic gain, but who will suffer the ultimate destruction of the good thing going on there. It happened in the Haight in 1969 onward - it will happen for the beautiful ayahuasca communities too.
